Can a Pressure gauge be adjusted?

I just bought this Pressure gauge that came with a temperature gauge which is what I really needed. The pressure gauge was supposed to 0-6000psi..... this one is 0-10,000psi which doesn't matter.

The problem is it came in the mail set at 3800psi. I figured I would try it on one of my powerwashers to see if the gauge works which it did. It read about 3800psi which put the gauge at 7600psi. The 3800 psi increase was correct but the gauge will not go down to 0psi when the ball valve is turned off. There seems to be no damage to this gauge. Not a dent or a scratch on it.

Is there a way to dial down the setting where it starts at 0 so I don't have to bother with the distributor if its an easy fix? I have extra of these gauges but the temperature gauge I'm finding them harder to find and they break pretty easy.

Thanks

I would send it back, usually they are calibrated at the factory and if it is not calibrated right, it could mean destroying hoses or worse, I would not take the chance, they are not too expensive and keep a spare on hand.

I dont really understand how pressure guages go bad so fast i have them stick on a number and thats it for there life some of them dont last 4 months. Why is this?Yeap i would send it back asap stuck from factory.
