Cold Unit + Hot Box ok of Commercial?

I am having to quickly ramp up my operation due to a large amount of business landing my in my lap. I currently have a cold water 4200psi/4gpm machine. I am now being asked to do business sidewalks, a few head-in parking spots, and a few dumpster pads. I plan on getting a hot water skid in the near future, but I need hot water, like, yesterday. I'm considering adding a hot box to my cold water setup as an intermediate solution.

I'm looking at one of the Hydro Tek Hot Links : http://shop.powerwashstore.com/Hydr...ink-Hot-Water-Generator-CPHL5DCH-CPHL5DCH.htm

Will something like this work on the interim? Will it be able to help with my needs?

My hope is that this will get me by for a couple of months with what I have to clean so I don't lose business. Once I get the HW skid (hoping to get a water dragon) then this and my cold water will move to a backup/residential trailer.

And yes, I know there are financing/leasing options to get something preferred, but after looking into those, they are not options for my situation.

Thanks for the help.

Give some thought to just buying the big boy hot box now and instead of adding a whole skid later you can just add an 8 gpm cold water unit. It'd be cheaper in the long run to buy the big hot box and a cold water machine than it would be to buy the small hot box and then a whole hot water skid later.
You can also connect both cold water machines together and get 12 gpm.... Fun times buddy.

Dave-what about renting for the time being?

I would also consider subbing some stuff out-but be real careful if you go down that road

The only place I know of around here that rents is about $200 per day, and it's just a re-branded Northern Tool unit.

Not really digging the subbing option. Still building my report with these guys, and don't want to risk ruining it based on someone else's work.

Yeah, it's definitely a thought, but I have to be smart with my spend because of the snowball effect. Since I'm getting bigger gear, I also need a bigger trailer, hot water hoses/reels, new plumbing, etc. It's all the variables and all the little things that have to change and how each affects the other that can make the head spin and the wallet bleed.

And I would love to finance, but let's just say the ex-wife ruined any chance of that happening in the near future.

Nothing wrong with a hotbox Dave. If that's what your budget allows to keep you going and help build up your business, then go for it! Like Benjamin, I don't have a full skid either. I run with a 5.5, and two 4gpm pumps and a hot box. It all works great. Do what you gotta do!
