i have a customer that needs a large spot cleaned on thier roof and below it there is a section of copper roofing.

Has anyone dealt with this before and does the roof mix damage copper?

I'm thinking plastic sheeting and tape it to the wall. What do yall think?

Copper Roof

From our experience it really did nothing to the copper we worked on, I would say it may be due to the age and patina of the copper, and have read that spraying cooking oil may help and can be washed off after with some soap/water. Just some ideas, run a test spot first and take it slow, would be my best advice.

I would say that no ecofriendly soap would hurt the apperance of the copper. If your doing a roof job moss removal you may even suggest to your customer that you instal a thin sheet of copper flashing near the peak of the roof and this prevents future moss buildup. Obviously this isnt the situation with this job im just throwing that piece of knowledge out there lol.
