Dark Shadows on Concrete

I was called to look at a driveway today and the HO explained that she has these lines in her driveway. She had it cleaned a year ago to try and get the lines up and nothing happened. She said they aren't getting worse but would like to figure out what the issue is and if they can be removed. I've never seen this before.....

Is this from when the concrete was poured?

Looks like finish marks or possibly mineral differences in the pour..our concrete is weird here in florida..lol..I notice it everywhere I go..im in texas now and it looks different than what we have...quarries vary I guess. If hcl or f9 doesnt change it I would jist stain it with a nice solvent based solid color. Sometimes concrete is just ugly. The price I would charge to brighten it there wouldnt be more more to coat it.

I found this while doing some research. I guess this is the best explanation I can find. I guess I need to call a concrete company to see if there is a solution.

They/you could grind and polish it...big expense in that..floor grinders and hand helds...multiple passes with different honing blades to achieve desired texture...but...the crete may still be ugly under there..
