We can all get involved to ensure that these regulations are written in a way that we can deal with.

News about environmental regulations for PW contractors
Many of you already know about the enactment of environmental cleaning rules in Sacramento County, CA. In short, the county is asking every pressure-washing contractor in their area to adopt strict practices in capturing the water they use (preventing contaminated water from entering the storm sewers and, in turn, the nearby rivers and streams). This even takes in the water used washing someone’s driveway at their own home!

PWNA represented its members (and the entire contract cleaning industry) by getting involved in Sacramento County’s effort to establish environmental guidelines that would affect every contract cleaner in the area - adding a voice for the industry that hadn’t been heard by them before. The environmental engineers were not aware that a national organization of contractors was available to help them determine the future of pressure washing in their county. Robert Hinderliter, acting in the role of PWNA Environmental Chairman, reviewed the entire program and offered a large number of important modifications designed to make the proposed rules more effective – while keeping them reasonable enough to be complied with by contractors. A significant number of the suggestions offered by Mr. Hinderliter have been adopted into the Sacramento County program................Find out more, click on the following link http://www.pwnabbs.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=493

What new rules? Most of us don't know about them here in CA so it could someone kindly post these new rules/laws.

Would have been nice if we all were asked for our suggestions, and for us in CA all the more so.
