Re: EPA Enforcement: Professional Mobile Cleaning, Inc to pay $500,000.00
I am not sure if this is just a failure to research the facts or a deliberate attempt to leave out facts that better explain the case. How much more time would it have taken you, Robert, to simply add these facts:
1) This was not their first time in the ring with the EPA. They plead guilty to THE EXACT SAME THING in Tennessee in 2005. It was a misdemeanor with a much smaller fine. They weren't just blindsided with this huge fine.
2) They were charging an added fee for trucking and disposal of the runoff but cheated the postal service by putting it directly in the river instead. That is why they were ordered to pay back the post office. It was simply fraud and charging for something they didn't complete.
Why is it so tempting to tell half the story to make it look like your doom and gloom outlook on the industry is correct?
Why not simply tell the whole story and the truth?
There is no place for fraud in this industry, neither upon our customers nor upon innocent trusting contractors.
