Fleet washing rig?

I used to have a vader. There was nothing like washing 45 trailers in a couple of hours. It got to be a pain though because we had to pull trailers out and the weekend boss had to be in control.

I'm sure that has a great place in fleet wash. We have a delivery truck account that parks inside a warehouse and we have to do them quickly as the pull in. But, what we do works very well. The price looks good enough on that to test it out. I bet it would be fun to modify for other uses as well!

Well, the price is at least not outta line, but in my opinion those Vader-style machines are junk. As Scott pointed out you have to shuttle the trailers all over the lot while still leaving room for people to still move around. Most companies don't want you doing that for insurance and liability reasons. Then you can't wash the wheels(which is very important to the eye to give the appearance of being clean) or the running gear, and if it has a refrigerator on it you can forget it. You won't get that area clean at all. Plus I feel that they do a crappy job anyway. And another thing: If they have trailers there's probably a very good chance that they have tractors as well. Then you need more equipment to wash those. It looks like a big yellowish orange boat anchor to me...

That ones old school. I have a Vader they work ok, big labor savings if you have the trailers set up before you arrive or someone to move the trailers for you. Moving them yourself isn't practical and can be expensive if something breaks on you.
