Flow actuated unloads questions

So I see the k7 is the most popular I think - any more recommendations for others ?

So what's the story here I see that k7 can be finicky - please specify ...

All I do is residential house "soft wash" looking to get rid of the kick back when I pull the trigger , would I still be able to use the k7 or other and down stream with 40 or 50 or 60tips for soaping and usually rinsing though on ocassion rinse with the 25.

Kickback seems like it just puts wear on equipment and myself and I do not need the HIGH pressure unless using a surface cleaner .

If the k7 is finicky what's the better alternative for flow actuated if there is one... ?

K7 unloaders are very flow range specific. The ZK1 can go on any machine up to 10 gpm.

This would be for a 8gpm cold, water dragon.

What would you guys recommend k7 zk1 or I see that the zeromatic is pretty close to no kickback.
Do I understand this corectly that zeromatic has about 25% of the pressure in the hose when trigger is of ?

Also on all of these unloaders I can set the pressure - don't see a know on the pick more like a nut. .. ?

Is it OK to have the unloader on quick connects so if it's finicky/problematic for whatever reason be it a super long hose run or whatever I can just quickly swap it for a different one ?

One more question as I did use the search on this forum and did see it mentioned yet no specifics - what's the issue with the flow unloads like the k7 and downstream in ?

Got any links for videos of work with the k7 or zeromatic - would like to zee if there is actual kickback on the zeromatic 25% of pressure sounds good but is it 25% of kickback - number sounds good but would like to see it...

The Zeromatics are trapped pressure unloaders and are not flow actuated like K7's. I don't think the zeromatic is what you're looking for if you're looking for low kick back when pulling the trigger, and it certainly doesn't trap just 25% of psi, much higher than that IMO. We're switching one of our units to a K7 for testing. We're hoping the switch will solve hose longevity problems.

I have heard of guys QC'ing unloaders, we don't because I believe the more connections the more possibilities for problems......Just Saying

Can't find any info for it but is it OK to use the k7 and downstream and rinse with the bigger jets like 50 or 60 orifice ? Or will it be a problem with the k7 and put it in bypass mode ???

I am also going to be ordering a whisper wash classic with 4 jets - what jets should I put on it so it works with the say k7 flow unloader but I want to bring the pressure down to wash residential concrete and paver patios . It's a 3500psi 8gpm water dragon.

We've been using the K-10's for years and love them. I have 2 K-10's that are 2.5 years old and still kicking like new.
