I'm not an expert on chemical damage. I may be more aware of chemical damage than an average window cleaner based on all the dialog I've been exposed to over the years, but I wouldn't be qualified to offer anyone an expert opinion on that.
I'm big on scratched glass issues, and have become somewhat of an expert on tempered glass scratches caused by surface defects on poor quality tempered glass.
It's an issue with caused when contaminated tempering equipment produces tempered glass contaminated with microscopic fabricating debris defects - these defects can cause when scrapers are used.
It's a huge problem for window cleaners - who stand to lose a ton of money - maybe everything - over a quality issue you can't even see.
Anyway, if you heard I was an expert, that's what they were referring to.
