General Pump #T81

Found a #T81 General Pump the ad claims is 21GPM @1000PSI. It also states "Interpump Model #W8. Price $2,273.75 asking $500.00. As I occasionally get a call to clean Asphalt parking lots prior to restriping I wonder if this pump is the ticket to saving a lot of time as it takes a HUGE volume of water to wash asphalt and I currently run a TS 2021 pump. What size engine would be required to run this pump as the ad states the RPM's required are only 650. Just curious.

Rance, you need 21 hp and the right combination of pulleys to run that.

With a 3.5" pulley on the engine, you'd need a 18.25" pulley on the pump.

What about supply Russ, dual 1" feeds on the pump?

That is a lot of volume, cool.

Sounds like that would really slow the pump way down Russ. You sure that is not backwards?

Boy Russ, that's a mighty big pulley! I'll give you a call later on today. I'm driving over to Cadiz this a.m. to look at a Mitzubishi box truck.
