Generator pulley question

One of our Landa Machines has a generator plate that doesn't quite line up.

In order for the pulley to line up straight with the motor pulley the generator pulley has to be pushed way out to the end of the shaft with the shaft sitting about a 1/2 inch to 3/4 inch deep inside the pulley.

Last night it fell off.

The shaft appears to have a threaded area in the end.

Is it helpful in these situations to thread a bolt in that and use a washer to keep the pulley from falling off?

Or is there some other answer?

Is it a bushed pulley? You may get more shaft contact if you put it on backwards with the bolts to the inside. A bolt in the shaft won't hurt either.

generator belt worries vs. 12volt DC burner

12v burner

LOL

add the bolt Tony, or what Russ said.
.. .. Just don't overtighten the belt..
1/2" flex is good on that short belt, especially if you use a cogged belt..
the bearings will last WAY longer with a better gripping, looser fit belt.

..12volt burner ..
LOL
..you know I'm all-in on that combination
we make 'em reliable
..right Tom !? :{)

BTW.. fuel savings in just one year on NOT dragging te generator is breakeven for upgrading,
BUT.. using that extra 20%Hp for additional flow or pressure + workspeed..
.. is worth another few thousand dollars a year in productivity.
AKA..vacation time Visiting San Diego !!!!!!!
