Getting too old

I still go up on them, but the barrel tile kills my feet.

Had a similar experience this summer mine went like this:

"CRAP I'm 42 years old I shouldn't be doing this crap, wait a minute I'm 46! I really shouldn't be doing it and how'd I lose 4 years!"

Ya, I was a fearless Framer for 20yrs. I used to scale walls like a spider monkey, pull layout walking backwards on on top of 2X4 walls, and have "cat like" reflexes.

I think when i hit 40, that all changed.

I suddenly realized that my reactions slowed down tremendously, and i don't heal up as fast anymore.

So now i mainly concentrate on concrete...

Hope i don't plummet to my death while stepping off a curb!

yeah but you can get a nasty ankle sprain!
I was playing vollyball Friday night and I have a hell of a time forcing myself to lay out for digs (on any surface, we were on grass.) I went down three times or so and realized that Im getting up so slowly I cant make the next play. But you gotta do something for exercise or you'll just fade away.

I hear ya brother thats why I have lots of employees. They love lifts too! Not me.

I've been hobbling around on a partially torn achilles for 2 yrs(we are hoping 6 weeks ina walking cast will allow it to heal) it forced me to retire from playing softball. My shoulders are pretty much shot from building passenger tires for 10 yrs and I'm diabetic. Getting old sucks, but I refuse to go to my grave in a perfectly preserved body.I'm gonna live life while I have it.
