I remember reading a thread about being epa complient while doing heavy equipment but I cant find it... Any one know what kind of mat they were putting down, what it was called etc. thanks for your help

I don't remember that thread.

If I was going to search for it, I would try searching with words like: fleet washing, heavy equipment, heavy equipment cleaning, epa washing, etc....

Good Luck in your search, let us know what you find out and where it was.

Call me, I've done plenty of heavy equipment.

When we reclaim on heavy equipment which isnt often thank goodness. I dig a hole in the ground lay 2'-8' sheets of plywood down then cover the hole and plywood with a big tarp like the ones flatbedders use drive the equipment on wash and drive off. We shovel off all the dirt we can can before washing.
If its a track hoe we take a big Silver tarp you get at walmart cut in down the middle but just halfway then slide it up under the carriage and around the circle. Clamp the seam shut.Slide 4"pvc pipe under the edges on the ground and wash away.
We wash 60 to 75 pieces of heavy equipment a month and thankgoodness most of them dont need reclaim.
