Honda GX690 bogs down then dies...

Hey Everyone, just wanted to share something interesting. My Honda GX690 was bogging down then dying, it would always start right back up after. I remembered reading about fuel tank debris on one of the forums here, so besides replacing spark plugs and checking all the fuel lines and connections, I drained my fuel tank through a screen and this is what I found: . Thanks for all the great info, I will be running today and update if this fixed it. Who'd a thunk tank shavings in the gas?

Well, it ran better but still bogged down, guess I will check the vented gas cap and see what happens next. Thanks for the advice!

It may be beneficial to check the fuel filter as well.

Also some 690's had a recall on the coils

Is the engine above the fuel tank? It may not be able to suck enough fuel.
