What do some of you guys think of these Power washers?
I like the fact that there all stainless steel at a moderate cost. I like the parts & Equipment they use in there and for a pretty reasonable price for that size and all in stainless. The drawback is I would have used a stronger Kohler Engine but thats just me. The Price of this machine with thats rated @8pm @ 3600psi and for the generator model with float tank you looking at about $6500 with free shipping. I was leaning towards a Hydrotek or making my own but this seems to be a decent deal for a complete Stainless setup. So What do you guys think?

I know someone who bought one and had a few issues at the beginning, but he said they took care of it right away. I have heard other good stories about their customer service also... We all know sometimes it's not ALL about the machine but the service after the sale.

I have a machine from them 6gpm 4000psi. The coil leaked after about 3-4 months, BUT they came to my house and replaced it right away, which is about 6 hours away from their office. The igniter went out a couple of times, but they shipped me a new one the same day.

The owner of the company actually delivered the machine to my house on the back of his truck. I now have one from BCE and a Hydrotek and would not hesitate to buy either one.

That price is right around the costs for a Hydrotek one. I dont see much difference in them except for the layout underneath the coil...Cant see the parts though. What size engine is that?

Im a powerline guy myself for a 8-3500 120volt unit its about 5900.00 bucks poly tanks, heavy frame. I have 1500 hrs on mine and never, never had a problem with ANYTHING. I need to change a belt this spring thats it. They are built super heavy duty.

Hydromax has some of their units on ebay. I think you can negotiate on price with them a bit. Myself, I would buy Hydrotek for the simple fact that I live about 45 minutes away from their corporate offices.

Cons
It has a general pump
Sheet metal screws instead of bolts
No fuel/water separator on the burner fuel, just a cheap inline gas filter
Pump is to close to the shaft, needs at least a 42' belt
Unloader is not on an unloader block. Vibration will have it loose in a few hours
Neither the pump or motor have extended oil drain lines for easy service

Pros
It is shiny

Great points William I used hydroteks for a long time great machines but everything is very tight to get to if you have to work on them.I really enjoy having everything easy to get to with my current set up.Much easier and you dont always have to run the machines wide open all the time.

One of the reasons why I'm debating on building my own set-up. I have a frame in my garage that I could use but basically I'm looking at getting a decent motor(Leaning towards a Kohler), a pump(General or Udor) possibly a gear reducer instead of using a belt because of what I've been reading about gear reducers. But then again I may put a generator in there so that would change things to a belt set-up. A rock solid unloader and a Hotbox. That way I can work on all of it since I built it.... or might just buy a skid from someone.

Actually met the owner and his son (Who designs the machines) good folks. I like they're stuff, well thought out. Easy to work on, and easy on the bank account. Might drop by their shop if we go to the Atlanta RT. They list a 8 gpm trailer unit on ebay for a bit over $9000.00, that's a pretty good price if you ask me. Never heard anything bad about their equipment or Customer service.

Gear boxes are crap. Buy an Udor and you will never own another pump. I can't for the life of me figure why people buy generals. Maybe they like rebuilding them.

I have had really good luck out of the TSF General pumps. I used to have to repack the ts2021 generals bout once a year, but it never cost much and only took a few minutes to do. I did just by a big Udor penta series pump (4500psi at 11 gpm) used and don't think its ever been rebuilt though. It is a beast for sure!!

Looks like a good machine to me other than it doesn't have a Honda on it.
Do you have someone here that works on Hondas?

Back home there is NO ONE!

I have ran Briggs engines into the ground, sold them and they are still running, Kohlers, the verdict is still out but I love what I see so far.

I agree Russ, I'd choose Briggs over anything. So easy to get parts for too.
