Klenztone

Who has used Klenztone, or actually seen it being used. I do not care for word of mouth, but actual experiences.
I find that many companies, promote products that they say will make the surface look brand new again, and am wondering if K&E actually does this. I am particulary interested in #1, but would like to hear about all.

i used it. they are close to me so i gave it a try on some rust stains. aittle pricey, but i have to say, worth every penny. what do you want to use it for?
tell them you know me and he should send you some samples.

I just got my sample bottle today. Need to find the worst spot I can to test it.
I am mainly looking for a true oil and grease remover, not a lightener. I mainly wash concrete and have yet to find a cleaner that lives up to it's name.
What are you calling pricey? I know it is to be used full strength, so that is also a factor in how much to have on hand. What did you use it on, and did it really work for the rust? I have tried Oxalic and the stuff hates me. Never get any results.

taken me forever to respond here huh, as Justin said, the hf might be a better idea, the Klenztone, thought is works outstanding, (i used it on vinyl siding) it removed the rust, literaly in seconds. I am sure it would do the same on concrete. Now for price, if I remember correctly, somewhere around 900-1000 for a 55 gal drum. Like I said, a little pricey.

Hey Alan,
I have used Klenztone twice, only in small test patches. Once on my driveway and once at an out of business gas station w/ gas pumps. I must say the product worked very well. I just poured a small amount out of the bottle, worked it in w/ wire brush, and let it sit. No pressure washing, no rinsing. When I came back several hours later, the stain was noticably brighter. It is very pricey in my opinion. 1gallon/$21.45 - Case(4-1gallon bottles)/83.00 - 5gallon pale/$96.00. Here`s the problem I`m running into. I do some drive thru pads that are pretty bad. And to do the entire pad (intercom to pick up window), it would cost me a fortune! So I`m thinking of just doing the heavily soiled areas. Right in front of the intercom and right at the pick up window. Here`s what I haven`t figured out yet. I need to clean the entire pad, gum must come up. And the rep recommends that you apply to a dry surface. So, I guess I need to clean the entire pad first, let dry and when I`m finished w/ everything else, apply Klenztone and take off. If anybody has any other ideas, I`m all ears. Bottom line, if it was a little less expensive, I`d use it in a heart beat.

Well,
Things have come up and I have not used my sample yet. Price is not so bad, if it does a great job. Residential work is great money, and if I can do a better job, then up goes the price.
Glabarta,
You did not rinse the stuff off? They say it can dry on the surface, but I did not take that to mean leave it there, just that it would not damage it. I will try it both ways.

Well,
Finally went out and tested this stuff on both oil/grease, and rust.
Wish I had a picture to post, because it was amazing. They say that you can just rinse it off, or use a pressure washer, so I just used the hose for this test. Gave it a about a 30 second dwell time and all I can say is WOW. Both test spots look NEW. I will be ordering some more, and going after some tough projects.

They send out free samples, so I would suggest everyone gives it a try. Nothing to lose, as it is free. www.klenztone.com

Mr Alan, I`m afraid I had to leave it sit w/out rinsing. I didn`t take my rig w/ me. The test bottle that they give you is kind of small. So I just poured some on the concrete, worked it in w/ a small brush and came back several hours later. Even w/out rinsing it lightened up the oil spot considerably.

glabarta,
I took the bottle to my day job and did some rust hunting, so I can get a broader opinion. I used my arrowhead sports bottle to rinse. I must say that a little goes a long way, and that it does not need to be used in overdose.
Tried it on Hydraulic fluid and heavy oil from a leaky trash truck and it did a pretty good job. I only say pretty good, because I only let it dwell for a minute or so and rinsed with my sports bottle again. Have not used it in conjunction with the washer yet, but the results are looking very good so far.

This is an old thread but, lets pick it back up. Can anyone compare Klenztone 1 to Eco Chems One Restore? Price wise they seem the same however the hydrocloric in Klenztone will etch glass and alum. and on this project I dont have the time to deal with the extra precautions. (Aggregate, glass and alum structures)
