Landa Looking to purchase a pressure washer

Looking at purchasing a Landa MHP as my first unit. It does 4.7gpm with 600 hours on it. The dealer that has it said he completely tore it apart and replaced the seals in it. Also it comes with a 5 month warranty for $3300. The owner has gone above and beyond for me. I'm trying to get into doing flatwork do you think this unit would work out alright??? Please help me out here!!!

4.7 gpm is pretty low for commercial flatwork. I would say at least 5.5 is what you should be looking for

More GPM = Speed and more $$$

Price sounds high to me. I know Landa's are good but there is a lot of used equipment out there. You could buy a new 5.5 cold water unit and a hot box for about $4000.

There are probably people on pwi that have used equipment for sale or Call Russ at Southside and see what he has.

With pressure washers folding up and selling this time of the year there are alot of good used machines out there that can be had for much less than the 'new" price.

I don't know how far you are but heres one in Huntsville, AL for $3500 it says it's 7GPM but I think this model is actually 6GPM.. I talked to him about it a few times, who knows that price may come down a little.

Heres some pictures he sent me.. He said it's really dusty because it's been sitting in a paint shop.

Here is a nice unit on e-bay. It's a Hydrotek complete with trailer and everything. It's hot a 25HP Kohler under it so I'm guessing it's a 8 GPM....

A $40 pulley will change that 4.7 gpm to 6 in a few minutes. That's a great machine. If you have the money buy it and put it to work!

changing the pulley will this affect how much heat I can get out of it? is 600 hours going to be a bad way to start off i do not want it in the shop all the time. From all the reading i have done Landa is a good unit I will be geared toward driveway cleaning at first.

If you have to you can tweak the heat a little bit. We use ours on driveways, dumpsters, shopping centers, restaurants, etc. I'm not the person to ask though. Ron uses basically the same unit.

= 10 weeks of use

If the dealer is local, you're probably making a great move! Having a machine on warranty with a local dealer can be a big asset to you just starting out!
