Need help with pulley sizes and sheaves.

Do I need a 3.6" engine pulley size if it is a 3600 rpm engine and a 7.4" pump pulley for a 1750 rpm pump? This will be a 19 horse Kohler on a TSF 2021 pump. Not sure what the exact equation is that I need to use.

I thinks its just (estimated engine rpm at load/pump rpm)~(engine pulley/pump pulley) I think you got it but maybe adjust engine rpm for load and see if there is a slightly different size pulley on one end to get you a little closer. I have an tach on my old hydrotek and it only pulls about 3200-3300 under load

(Engine RPM X Pulley Diameter) / Pump RPM = Pump Pulley Diameter

Go as big as you can on the engine pulley, better for the belts.

Talked to GP today. They said their standard engine pulley is a 5" which would make the pump pulley 10.2". The plate I am going to be putting this on the belt guard will only accomodate up to an 8" pulley for the pump. That come from pressure pro themselves. I think I will have to keep around the sizes I originally listed.
