Well it is that time again and we are looking at products for new production.

Long question short I am looking to find out what you want in a skid mount or portable pressure washer.

Volume
Flow, doh Pressure :p
Power source
Burner
Features
Options
Etcetera

Thanks in advance for your posts. There is no guarantee we will do any of it but I am looking for your input.

Cheers.

A perfect Hot water skid for me would be 5 gpm @3000psi mainly because 3000psi would mean standard hose strength and 5gpm most of the time means no water tank needed.

I would also like an hour meter so I can keep track better as to when I do my oil changes etc.

Stick with either Beckert or Wayne burners.

Have a CAT pump because they appear to be the best on the market and I have one and it works better then my General Pump even though General pumps are not bad themselves.

Large gas tanks. At least 10 gallons for gas and 15 gallonsfor diesel. Ideal for me would be 15 gallons gas and 20 gallons diesel.

A great option would be to have the Powerwasher setup were you can keep it running without spraying water and not have to worry about the pump going bad.

CLEAN COUNTY
an hour meter take's 2 min to install annd cost's about $25
Im not sure but their are law's about fuel tank size's [even if e-spec sell's them bigger then anyone else]
epp's is an importer and must stay within guideline's.
In order to run your unit without shutting it down in bypass you must do one of 2 thing's.
1-keep the pressurized water cool[run the bypass to a tank]
2-stop the pump, but not the motor.[clutch system]
i would guess any mfg would have a pump upgrade if you wanted.

Im looking for SIMPLE and well thought out.
5 min oil change's with no mess.[no tool's]
One wrench, one handed belt tightening.
A wireing system that look's like a kid's toy not a ball of twine.
[my largo unit is the simplest ive seen]
route the thing's that need the most attention to location's that are easy to get at.
plump unloader's with QD's[euro style]
BUILD A DOWNSTREAMER THAT HAS A 50% DRAW
As long as we are dreaming.
can you build a unit that can a variable volume pump?
4 gpm when i need to use just tank water and wash a bunch of truck's. Then hit a button and get 7 gpm to run a surface cleaner.
I know-just hook 2 unit's together.
Lastly-make the damn thing's so they are silent or at least cut the noise by 1/2.
oh yea, put fuel guage's on the tank's.

Okay, my wish list, and I know that some of your machines already incorporate these idea's. Remember we are dreaming.
1. I like simple oil changes, and maybe a dry sump system
2. A water cooled engine. It gets really hot here, and water cooled has a longer life cycle.
3. Centralized wiring. I have rewired one of my machines so that I can remove a cover and check all of the switches, and the ignitor at one whack. So to run a full diagnostic on all of the electrical components on my machien takes less than a minute, with a continuity tester.
4. A stainless coil
5. I like 12 volt systems, but I would also like a charging systyem to run lights off of, because most 12 volt systems do not have enough extra capacity to run lights and the heater.
6. A coil bypass, so that if I want to run cold water I can, without going through the coil.

That is enough for now

no, volume = gpm
flow = gpm
pressure = psi

let's not forget about remote start and remote burner operation
how about a burner with an adjustable nozzle to save on fuel. thermostats break to often. as for the fuel gauge, why not just use a sight glass? how about a seperate (cheap) pump on the rig to upstream chems.
