New Idea for Roundtables

I can't roll a hose. I can't back a trailer worth a darn. But Chris S can!

How about a trailer backing contest at the next roundtable?

Chris can back a trailer like crazy. I'm sure plenty of you guys can. I saw one of Matt Normans' employees back a trailer into a garage at what looked like full speed and stop on a dime about a centimeter from the back wall area.

How does that sound for a roundtable contest?

By the way, this is all mirror work here, with a flatbed and a water tank there's no looking out the back window.

That is not bad at all.

Maybe a parallel parking contest with a trailer also.

Maybe setup cones in a zig-zag pattern to drive through to see who can make it through without knocking down cones or who knocks down the least amount.

I'm in! Backing straight back is one thing. Around corners and tight spots and into a garaged unit with only 2 inches on either side with a blind spot on the passenger side is another thing.

I would kick azzzz in that competition. My very first tractor trailer driving job was in downtown boston. I pulled a 32 foot trailer all over the city for 3 years with only 1 REPORTABLE accident.
