Hey everyone thought it was about time to introduce myself, knowing that I am going to start asking a lot more questions here soon. My name is Tristan and I am in the process of starting my pressure washing company "The Wash Squad" in Denver. I have been on here doing tons of research, as well as just come back from Doug's Pressure Washing School where I learned a ton. We are starting out our company mainly focusing on residential customers (house washing, fence and deck cleaning, concrete) and eventually taking on commercial accounts after gaining more experience. I know this forum is going to be a huge asset in our business, especially just starting out. I look forward to many discussions with you all.

Congrats on starting your new business. I am sure that Doug taught a great class. I really believe you will benefit tremendously from it. good luck. And that is a great logo.

Welcome aboard Tristan. Thought sure you'd mention the Philly Cheesesteak. Lol. Let me know f you need anything buddy.

It is the only way to have a Cheesesteak, that and with hot peppers!

Thanks Shane, probably going to reach out to you on Wood questions since it looks like your the man!

No problem I'll do what I can to help ...I think you can have great success with maintaining wood in the high altitude and low humidity.I bet some huge decks in the mountains too!

Have you worked on any wood much?

No I haven't unfortunately, I recently redid my fence which is what made me want to get into pressure washing in the first place. I did it myself and made some mistake, so I started researching. Got really interested in it and decided to go to Doug's school. Any recommendations on some training sources for wood restoration?

I learned old school trial and error and then I found the message boards and bam all the info you need by then I already knew about except Oxalic as a brightner. You can learn the basics of wood restoration but it's all about hands on exp. Not all the jobs are the same and knowing how to prep the wood the right way is key to where the stain will look uniform in color and not blotchy. You want to use a stain that's going to be reliable and consistent to keep your customers coming back every few years to maintain the wood.

You have any questions feel free PM or call..
