no soliciting neighborhoods

So, after every job, I usually put my card in the cracks of doors on the surrounding neighbor's.
I'm thinking the answer is no, but can I do this on jobs I have in no soliciting neighborhoods?

Maybe..I would check with the local enforcement..In NJ there are strict NO KNOCK/NO SOLICIT ordinances throughout different cities/towns..However, i see businesses such as Chinese restaurants, etc always leave flyers in doorways ..i guess its a matter of someone complaining..

You'll need to find out what the legal definition of 'soliciting' is in your area. Soliciting typically means "attempting to sell to someone" face to face. Leaving a card or flyer doesn't fit into that category (IMO).

In my county of residence, a solicitation license is required as well as a surety bond. This is on a per-person basis. I know first hand of a contracting company that received a $5000 fine for violating that law. Ugly...........

approach someone to sell services or request business..i would think leaving a flyer fits that..every state/town is different..best to check beforehand
