Non Pressure Cedar Shake Cleaning

I have calls for cedar shake roofs that I intentionaly over price because I dont like constantly being on the roof using a pressure washer to clean them.
If anyone has a tip they would share or if I could pay to work with someone I might be interested.

What do you mean by "pressure washing"? Are you using the full psi from the machine or softwashing?

If I were cleaning them I would have to use 700- 1000 psi. The problem is having to be on a large cedar shake roof at all.
Their are ways to clean with a chemical process. But. I don't know the process.

You can clean them with a 12% and soap mix then pressure wash and brighten after not to leave them bleached out.


I know it would suck to be on the roof pressure washing but if they are real grey you need to rinse off the dead wood fibers.

Im currently pricing myself out of them. Ive cleaned & sealed cedar homes. But they are to few and far between to fool with. I have someone wanting a price to clean and seal one now. Like I said. There is a process. Im just not smart enough to figure it out and the ones who have want to keep it.
