OK, Heres one for ya... What is the difference between Concrete and Cement? Is there any difference in color... texture.... pouring methods?.

How can you tell?

What is the difference?

Is there a difference at all?

Do you change your cleaning techniques when on Cement VS Concrete or dose it matter?

Don't tell ASH... I want to see how many pressure washers personnel know this one.

Concrete is made from cement (and fly ash, aggregate, sand and water).
Cement is a powder made up of lime and clay that is kiln dried.

The PSI factor of concrete is directly proportional to the quantity of cement that is in the mix. The agregate is basically filler that also lends osme structural support to the final blend of concrete. The higher the PSI rating of the concrete, the harder it is. That means that you can use more pressure to remove gum and stains than on lower rated concrete. It is also more difficult for the stains to "soak in" because cement is very fine, and thus it is able to repel stains to a certain extent.
Typical home concrete is rated at around 3000 psi before the cement guys add more water. As soon as more water is added, it does have an effect on the PSI rating of the concrete. Often they will add water to make it easier to pour and finish. For parking garages, and in commercial applications, the specified concrete is usually 5000 PSI. But then, sometimes the finishers add water and it effects the final rating.

Thanx you guys. Good stuff. Good info to have on hand if ever asked by a h/o or from someone whom your doing comercial cleaning for.

I hear from the concrete guys that business is starting to.pick up. It might be worth going to this year.

You mean there will be a bunch of serial entrepreneurs there?

A bunch of Repulicans (Entrepreneurs) selling equipment to Democrats (Union workers) being observed by a Libertarian (me). Lol
