Who here has operated the Sirroco PEV2 system using the 21" vacuum surface cleaner? What were your likes and dislikes? I am going to start reclaiming and this one fits my budget better than the SVG 3. I'll use an 8000 watt generator to supply power to it and 4 flood lights{when needed}. Also does anyone have any generator recomendations or ones to stay away from? Thanks

I was also wondering is using a vacuum surface cleaner really more productive than a regular one or is that just sales hype? i can see in theory where it could be but would like to know from people who have used them.

The vacuum will almost completely replace the rinse cycle after a cleaning, but it takes some time to get use to the new equipment. Until you're more familiar with the set up and break down process, it will likely add a lot of time to your jobs. Then, you need to decide what to do with the water and how much you can haul when needed.
Once you're used to it, it will likely be as fast as when not using it if you skip the rinse cycle.
The vacuum you buy does make a difference! I'm not familiar with you one you listed, but quality is important if you intend to use it.
I'm embarrassed to mention the vacuum we use...

I will express my opinion for you again once more Kenny, as a startup (back in business) I still recommend marketing your business much more than reclaim. As we all know if there is no enforcement on the contractor and property owner there is not many that will pay the added cost I charge to reclaim. There are some added benefits however the extra weight of pulling 2' hose around along with pressure hose, stopping to get the hoses in line, if you pull too hard on the vacuum hose it comes off of the surface cleaner. There are many different issues with using vacuum reclaim and when washing sidewalks and drive-thru's its almost useless to try and use the wand built in to the vacuum surface cleaner due to the time it takes to attach, remove gum, and then re-attach to surface cleaner. At best I could see our reclaim system taking off 10 minutes per stop but the hassels of rolling up hoses, keeping them out of the way, and coming back after cleaning to pop gum seems to makes the time difference almost none. I say this to you not as a competitor but as one who has reclaim and opt's to go other routes than vacuum surface cleaners

Reclaim is LARGELY finesse..
You have to choose you equipment for performance, NOT a cheap price.
you have to USE it correctly,
you have to maintain it correctly,
you have to ask the KEY questions of QUALIFIED people.

This is why we are training our dealers to SHOW you,
and EXPLAIN to you,
what, why and how
to get Faster, Reliable Performance.
You don't want to waste money.. We don't want you to waste time.
