A quick history. I started pressure washing 10 years ago, went for about 5-6 years then hung it up. I went the whole time very uneducated but knew enough to get by.
Now we are doing it right. I got a respectable machine and am trying to learn everything I can. I would love a reclaim and recycle unit, but I must have misplaced that $10,000 because I dont seem to have it on me for the unit. So I want to know what my options are.
I know getting oil out of a drive through then letting it run into the sewer is not ok. Doing a search for "oil sock" I came across a thread where Jeff LeCours says he cleaned two parking garages and used new pig drain filters, oil booms and socks and had no problem with runoff.
Never heard of new pig so I just searched that and found the filters. Looks like ten per pack which makes each about $17 or so. How many times could one be used at a restaurant cleaned monthly?
I was looking into oil socks and it looks like there are lots of types. what is best for concrete cleaning?
Is an oil boom the same as an oil sock?
Where do sand snakes come into the picture?
What about degreasers and other chems?
