Preferred battery charger?

What battery chargers are you using? Any fast and clever setup you have for on the job keeping battery's power up? Solar panel? Trickle charging ?

Full size battery on trailer, 7 pin connector to truck. Truck charges the battery on both. Pump is in a box, with a key switch to turn power on to it. Motors( electric) only pull what amps they need so no fear of burning pump, running low on battery charge, if a gage is needed look at the one in the tow vehicle. Simple, works, no need to spend extra money on stuff not needed. You need help call me. I'm inNorth Port.

Just be careful as you can drain the truck batteries as well. Unplug the trailer connection when running the pump and connect it back up when moving to charge.

Thats can happen but happens to the ones that do not check the battery's. 1 bad battery will kill the other, dirty cables or connectors also do the same, wireing will do the same. Have been doing it this way for a long time, and on the tow hauler, race trailer, and travel trailer. Able to run all 12 volt lighting interior and exterior fridge, and pump for water. Never woke up to a truck that would not start. Just cannot see adding more stuff to have to plug in or buy an extra gauge, and pay for electricity when I have already paid for the gas to do the same thing. I guess I'm just cheep that way.

I tried the solar panel and it helps a little. I use a dewalt 15 amp battery charger to charge all batteries plus to check the percentage of battery life.

All my washers are key start so I recently linked my 12 volt system into my 10gpm washer and it keeps the battery charged up nice. I use the dewalt charger prolly once a week just to make sure everything is up to par, but just in case I keep a spare deep cycle battery on the rig

the 7 pin sounds like a great idea. Charlotte Sarasota guys a new marine discount just opened in Port Charlotte 41n across from Mc Donalds between Kings Highway and PG bridge. great prices on batteries, fuel line, brass and other odd ball things we us. Thanks again

We always used a Battery Bug when we ran electric. It is like a gas gauge for your battery.
