Pressure drop and hose length

The pressure will drop right off the bat. The psi rating is without any restrictions at all after the pump. I believe it is 100psi drop per 100 feet of hose or something like that.

How much hose can I run off of a General TS2021 running at 5 GPM @3000 PSI before I see the pressure drop?
Depends on the size of the hose ?
The smaller or longer the hose, the more pressure drop.

You really don't see much difference till 200+, If your pump and engine are strong. It is always a good idea to purchase a pressure gauge and check for yourself. We have gauges on our pump heads, unloaders, and surface cleaners to monitor performance. The more you know about your equipment and its performance the better off you are. These gauges are inexpensive and easy to use.

Tim, I know several pressure cleaners here who also use big hose on commercial concrete cleaning hot water rigs.
These guys ain't playing, running dual hot water pumps and big azz surface cleaners.

If you are running super long lines (300+), or 10 gpm+ washers, it would be more efficient for flow and pressure using 1/2" hose over traditional 3/8". Some guys that need long lines use 1/2" the first 100-200', and use the 3/8" near the gun due to the weight of the 1/2" hose.

I've been looking into 1/2" hose. They are hard to come by. Only ones I have found are 1/2" black hose by Ultima sold by www.pressureparts.com

Does anyone know where you can get gray non-marking hose in 1/2"?
Dif you try Delco or Pressure Tek or Envirospec Mike ?
