Replacing rotary arm on surface cleaner

Good evening,

I ran into some problem with my surface cleaner where it is vibrating and not performing the way it should. Upon inspection I notice that the rotary arm is a bit bent and one of the nozzle fittings is seen at an angle compared to the other.

My question is the following. If I wanted to replace the arm, how would I go about doing so? It seems as if you need to unscrew it but is there a certain procedure or tool used to do this?

Look forward to hearing your feedback!

Usually there are wrench flats on the spindle coming down from the swivel. Get ahold of the spindle and turn the spray bar.

The nozzles are *supposed* to be slightly askew, pointing away from each other so that they will propel and spin the bar. If they pointed straight down, it would not spin. Are you sure one nozzle is not clogged? Even a grain of sand will plug it enough to make it do what you are explaining. I carry a jewelers loupe magnifier so I can see if there are such clogs, and also carry a welders tool of fine little wire cleaners to poke into the nozzle to clear it. Make sure it's not obstructed.

I just replaced a swivel on a surface cleaner and obviously had to remove the arm. What a b*tch!!!! I use SH on concrete sometimes and it rusted the area around the swivel and threads. I sprayed it with PB Blaster and let it set for about 6 hours and it finally broke free using two sets of large vise grips. One clamped to the swivel assembly and the other on the nut on the spray arm.
