Ringback Tones

I have been thinking.....

This year, my second year PW'ing, I'm going through everything and making sure that my business is, and looks, as professional as possible. Last year was more getting on my feet and learning the ropes. I use my cell phone as my business phone and I have had a ringback tone for even longer but the more I think about it, the more I think that may reflect bad on my business. Mine is "Break" by Three Days Grace. The song is not one with bad words or bad language, but it may be a little too hard for some people. My girlfriend suggested maybe an easy country song, but what if that turns people away? Any suggestions??

Ummmm! A regular ring that is probably already programed in your phone. :scratchhead:

I thought about this today. I called my mechanic that works for us in anther business. He gets his weekly pay checks from us..... So he is our's and only our's. He had some crazy song.... It made me say to myself, what an idiot! And thats one reason i don't give my customers his phone number!

If you are doing business just make it a simple ring ring!

I agree. With the wide range of customer types you may get, any one ringtone won't appeal to them all (old, young, etc.). I strongly suggest no ringtone if you are using it for your business. Keep a simple ringer, and a professional voicemail message.

I used Crazy Train for years because I can hear it ringing over the machines!! Since I got my iPhone I use one of the default ringers which I like alot, it's the old time ringer.

I think he means a ringtone that the caller hears instead of the standard ringing, not the ringtone that you hear to answer it.

Yea....ringBACK tone. The one the caller hears when they dial my phone. I leave my phone in the truck while doing estimates and talking to customers so I'm not concerned about what I hear. It is settled though. I changed it to just a plain ring like dialing a land line. I do agree that it sounds more professional that way. Thanks for pointing that out to them Mike.
