I was wondering how/when you guys clean the rust stains. I have been doing them the next day after the roof clean. I don't know if I would save a step to do the rust then the rest on the same trip. My concern is the SH interacting to soon with the rust removal chems. Does it matter once they have dried?

Hi Will,

Most of the roof guys clean the rust after they have done the roof. When rust forms it is usually underneath the mold, so in order to get to it you'd need to remove the mold first. If you are on a spot where the rust is exposed with no mold on it you could do the rust removal first, rinse well, then do the roof cleaning. The biggest concern is NOT TO MIX THE TWO. Do one before the other and do not let the residues mix either.
 
Thanks Craig. I was pretty sure not letting the two mix was the way to go. I think I will stick with the way I've been doing it despite the extra trip, no need to create an issue.
