RV's and Travel trailers

im looking to get into washing RV's and travel trailers. the city i live in has a power plant that is growing and there are several trailer parks that will be packed due to the people traveling from out of state for the work! so i figure these guys arent gonna have time to wash there trailers! just looking for any advice before i get out there and start washing them. ive already heard that i shouldnt deal with the awnings or try to remove the stickers if asked to do so. any help whatsoever is highly appreciated! thank u so much!

Make sure you use DI or RO water. This will eliminate spotting on the windows. If the water you are using is hard it can etch the glass, then your either gonna spend the time buffing the window or replaceing it. Not saying it will happen, just saying becarful and take every step to prevent it.

Sent you a PM, Also Bryan if you get hard water on the windows you can use CLR to clean it off this will work on any glass just not plexi glass.

You cannot wash vehicles here without at least a water softener, and that is barely adequate.

When we cleaned car lots and fleets, we always used softeners! We used DI and it was expensive, but we could make water faster than we could use it. I looked into RO, but it never seemed practical. Anyone using it want to share a little?
Anyone used any of the new "magic water" or salt-less, maintenance free softeners?

...nevermind about magic water! They have a great instant chat feature. I was able to talk with a rep immediately. They said it would still leave the spots, but that they should be easier to get off...

No I have not had any problems with the water onthe windows. But I have seen what it does at one of our lots. They park the cars next to the sprinkler system and they have to buff all the windows after the car is sold to remove all the etching. Im sure you could use CLR, but it your going to be washing the RVS and trailers all the time then why not just invest in a DI tank. Saves time and hassel

If you can make it work for you a r/o system is the way to go. I have a portable r/o system that works great for me. but it wont work for everyone
