Both Mike Kreisle and myself already responded the second this was posted on Facebook. But Doug, Mike, and myself all agree that the housewash solution did this (partially cleaned the roof) because it was excessively strong. These are wood shakes, that accidentally "got cleaned" by this strong housewash solution. The roof must all be cleaned now, and then sealed, like Mike Kreisle pointed out on Facebook.

So you think its Sealed Chris ?
Don't really know Ron. Mike Kreisle said to seal it on Facebook. We see very very few wood shake roofs here in Tampa, Mike see's a whole lot more up where he lives, and cleans roofs at.

It will need to be cleaned for sure, the uneven look will be there for a long time even after it weathers. I wild disagree on the sealing though. If they want the weatherd look back faster you would not want to seal it.
