Starting up commercial concrete cleaning

Well I have been reading alot and doing some market research in my area and found that there is ALOT of gum and grime on these sidewalks. They need to be cleaned! So this week I am going to get a trailer outfitted for some commercial concrete cleaning. As far as what skid, I don't have one nailed down. I am am gonna get 5.5gpm. As far as how to actually clean concrete, I don't really know that either. I am dealing with 5 year old gum. I understand that my first time out it is going to take quite some time to clean the place up, but once I get it on a regular maintenance contract things should go much smoother, with much less gum.

From reading it sounds like I will be down streaming the EBC. I am not sure what ratio to apply the chemical so I do need some help in that area. I also know that pricing can vary.

When it comes to dumpster pads do most of you guys clean these every time you clean the side walks? Or do you clean the sidewalks twice a week and dumpster once a month or do you do side walk once a month and dumpster once a quarter? I am sure it varies but I need a little help.

Thanks,
Dan

Gum is best removed with heat, pressure will work, but heat works quickest and best.

Surface cleaning requires a good skid, that typically gets expensive. Heat, PSI, GPM are all things that matter in concrete cleaning. Also look at reclaim and what the various laws and regulations are for where you plan to work.

Concrete cleaning you can make good money, but the upfront investment can be high as well to do it right. You can start small with equipment, but you are only hurting yourself as it will take a lot more time to complete.

Just my 2 cents
