Stolen Pressure Washing Trailer in Broward

You need to interview the other business in the area. I doubt they rented that truck to go out stealing. I'd bet they were working for someone and they happened upon your trailer.

Wow! Saw the video Dimitar. That just sucks. i'll keep my eyes open but to be honest. I'm sure they have parted it out by now.

After I converted it, it messed it up, but the raw file is much better quality.
The date on the video is a day ahead and an hour ahead.

I hope you dont mind, But I just massed bookmarked that video, and sent it to reddit.com that sees about 500k visitors at all times. I told anyone with information to contact the video poster

Can you get your hands on the complete video for the day. I would like to see that truck when it pulled into that spot. You might be able to get a clearer picture of the plate then. Also are there any other camera's around the place that you can possibly get some footage from?? You should bring that Video into the Precinct that has Jurisdiction in that area and walk it over to the Squad. They should have some one that is an expert with these films that can clear it up some. Another choice is to take your Police report case # and the video and call the local FBI. They might be able to help you get a clearer picture of that plate. If you can even get one number or letter from that plate that alone can solve that crime.

Good luck and I hope they catch the bastards. Also this may sound cruel but I would also like to see Florida get "Sparky" fired up again. That was the electric chair that kept putting the scumbags heads on fire when they were getting zapped. By far the hall of fame of electric chairs---Ok a little morbid there but screw those real bad dudes that get the death penalty.
K I'm blabbering...Seriously good luck and not all Cops R Scumbags or donut munchers even though I use to eat a boat load of donuts myself then I turned into a bloated Boston Creme. Since then I havent gone near a donut in years.

They did not rent from far away because any thief would only want to pay for the minimum rental which is an hour.
These slime are close by.
They would never rent for a day or two when they can rent for one hour.

I have experience, I've been ripped off a lot by these heartless animals.

Did you ever recover it?

I would think that it would be easy to narrow down who stole the rig, since it was a rented truck. There cannot be that many rented Uhaul pick ups in Broward county that day.

You would think, he said it was a complete lose.

You would think that since every uhaul only has a couple pickups your right. It would narrow suspects down. I'm pretty sure there's gps on the vehicles also. Plus cams for sure at the uhaul renting place.

Poor police work I guess, sucks

Do crackheads rent trucks? Was the truck rented specifically for this theft? Also, that truck is very unique, I think you can catch these idiots. My storage unit complex has more cameras than London. Regarding the private detective, it boggles the mind what some them have access to. I dated a woman whose father owned an insurance adjusting outfit, and she got started on fraud investigation -- guys on workcomp working on a roof, etc. She slowly transitioned into many other areas, and she had some good stories. At the time, she owned five vehicles: a sporty convertible, beater pickup, nice dark suv, Volvo station wagon and a small box truck. She had a $1,000 Burberry purse with built-in camera, and could walk into the County Clerk's Office like she owned the place. It was crazy.

Very sorry to hear about that. Not much we can do for you to find these guys but we'd definitely be willing to get you some new equipment at dealer cost if that helps. It might help lessen the pain a little.

Ron, this is what happens when you sift through old threads; idiots like me don't read the dates & start rambling on about something from three years ago. Maybe I outta come here more often.

LOL, AT your Ok. It was a good Post you made and the Info for others might Save someone this Heart Ache in the future

with all due respect for your loss I must ask what did you do to secure your trailer? It took them only seconds according to the vid to drop the coupling onto the towing hitch and they were on their way. did you not have the coupling locked out in any way? It looked all to easy for them IMHO.

I had my trailer rig stolen from a shop last year where they also stole 2 of the shop's rental trailer rigs also.

They only had a small chain to lock the fence to the fence pole and then after things were stolen, it looks like they probably used the same small chain and different lock to keep their and customer's trailers secure.

They did not say how fast the trailers were stolen but I did not have a lock on mine as they would have to move it around in their yard as they work on several trailers at different times.

It really sucks having a trailer and 8gpm hot water skid stolen, the worst thing is that the owner made a claim for his rigs but not mine, I have been tied up for a while and not wanting to think about this but I still have some time to go to court and try to get reimbursed.
