summit reels leaking constantly!

Are there any fixes for the summit reels at the swivel, gaskets keep leaking after a week or two? We run hot water, 8 GPM, 3000PSI units. These reels are terrible with this constant leaking. Are there any solutions to keep these gaskets from leaking?

change them over to super swivels. Every one of my Summit and Cox reels have leaked at the swivel. They're junk unfortunately. My rapid reels have been problem free actually.

Like Greg mentioned, Super Swivels are the way to go, they are better quality, flow water better and last a lot longer.

Any reel that comes with a stock swivel should be replaced with a super swivel.

First thing I do when we get a new reel is replace the crappy swivels, always use super swivels!

Hannay has a pretty tough requirement , I already would have a dealership if they where easy. Although you would have a good start if you had bought those from yourself.

I'm not buying enough to Keep a couple of my distributorships , not caring to much. I have enough in stock

Yes sir, was happy to see that when my Hannay reel came in. $260.00 with a super swivel--can't beat that.

I'm do for a couple new reels. Currently have Titan for the chemical hose but adding a garden hose reel and replacing the high pressure hose reel. I carry 200 ft of both at all times with an extra 100 in the shop. What would you guys suggest for the high pressure & garden hose? I'd like to keep things uniform and go with Titan and just add the super swivel.

@ Russ - I'll be ordering ammonyx lo from you next season and will grab a super swivel from you to.

I like the Legacy swivels they have a stainless center core and a brass outer housing. I have found them to outlast the Super Swivels that I had used a few years back.
