Switching between 3000psi and 1000psi quickly

What sort of unloader / pressure regulator (or other device) would allow me to switch pressures quickly (flip of a lever)? I want to maintain as much flow as possible, just change the psi output. I'm hoping to avoid having to 'dial it in' every time I want to switch.

I do it all the time. We switch from #6 to #10 or 12 tips and have them marked with different colors with a sharpie.

Or you can just use a variable. Wand and twist the handle.

All you need is a bigger nozzle to reduce PSI.

I realize that, but I need to be fairly accurate when switching between pressures for consistency. Going from concrete to house/roof washing (or vice-versa) with the same pump. The nozzle (which I haven't received yet) comes with a fan tip and requires between 400-1000psi. The optional zero degree tip uses the same pressure, so I don't know if it will maintain the proper pressure when switching back and forth.

Use a variable push/pull and twist for fan nozzle. Or get a jrod from Pressure Tec that holds 4 nozzles and set it up with high and low pressure nozzles and yes the correct nozzles will always give the proper pressure. Set that unloader properly and leave it alone.

Check your engine RPM's, don't over run your engine it will ruin it. Check the right RPM on the pump. Don't use the pump at a higher rate than it is designed for, it will get ruined. Set your unloader (there are instructions here for that) then check a nozzle chart for your rated pump then buy the nozzles needed for the pressure you want. Change the pressure by the nozzles, not the unloader, you can ruin the unloader by adjusting it. You may not hit right on the money for pressure, but there isn't much difference in cleaning ability by 200 psi on either side of your target. If in doubt go lower. Keep in mind, more pressure, less flow.
