Telesteps Ladders - buy at your own risk

I bought some telesteps ladders for doing bids out of the car. (or even on the motorcycle back a few years ago) They rarely get used, but they served a good purpose when I need them.

The other day I had one snap in two at the top while I was on it in a ceiling panel. Luckily I was able to grab some pipes and hang on to keep from falling all over a $20,000 large format graphics printer I was over.

I called the company and told them. They didn't seem too concerned and told me they would sell me another one at a discounted rate IF I would ship them the old one and pay shipping for the new one. (The discounted rate is the same rate they are selling for on Amazon right now.)

I would have done it. But they wanted me to allow them to do an ACH on my bank and wouldn't ship the new one till the funds AND the old one were in their possession.

Sounds like a crappy way to do business to me. But maybe I'm wrong. It's been my experience the when a company wants ACH instead of credit cards it's because they've had problems with the merchant account. Am I wrong here?

Anyway, I won't be buying anymore. I thought they should have been a little more eager to please. We've spent a lot of money with them.

Dont know about the ACH thing, but they wanted the property back so they could destroy it so you couldn't sue. Glad your okay.

That is what it sounds like to me so nobody sues them.

What a crappy company.

We've got a bunch of ladders from 3ft to 34 ft. Probably about a dozen ladders. But I used the telesteps to throw in the trunk of the car for when I got called on an emergency bid. The Werner folding ladder works better and is more versatile.

I even strapped the telesteps on the back of my motorcycle and did bids on the bike before. I'm always looking for the most efficiency. The bike got about 40 mpg. lol.
