Two Pressure Washers to one Surface Cleaner

Question:

I currently run a Hydrotek hot water unit with a Kubota Diesel and a 120 volt burner, Cat pump putting out 3000 psi 5.5 gallons a minute to my turbo twister surface cleaner with a gas engine on it or to a Mosmatic 18" single bar.

I am thinking of purchasing a cold water machine like 3 GPM 2700 psi. Something with a little honda engine, either direct drive or belt drive to the pump.

I know Russ sells a kit to tie the two units together I just want to be proactive on what kinda of problems if any I could expect. I know the pros of doing it just wondering about the cons. Example can the hoses handle it or do I need to up grade to high psi hose.

Thanks in advance.

The hoses will handle the volume fine. If the Hydro Tek has a K7 unloader on it, you'll have to change it to a trapped pressure, no easy start style.

Josh, your running two pumps through one coil? How hot does your water get?

No, I don't personally have a burner. I was just saying, if he is running 8 GPM through a 6 GPM burner, that could be a downside.

I ran two fives together one with heat and one without. I had enough heat to peel gum.
