Is there some place I can get info on how unloaders work and how to set them. Maybe online or a book? Thanks lee

No I had a pump given to me and it had an unloader with it. I cant find any type.of info on it. So I just thought there might be some general info out their on how they work and how to adjust them correctly.

Post some pictures, I'm sure someone will be able to identify it.

OK ill try to get some pics up. right now I have an 8 HP motor hooked to it just seeing if the pump works. The pump is a ws202 which shows it takes an 18 HP motor. So the unloader may not even work for what I have right now.

Russ, sense we're on the topic of unloaders, can a K7.1 be attached at the out port of a fixed unloader (part of the head)? Could I adjust the fixed unloader all the way down and then bolt up the K7?

Would it work or cause issues?

Piggy-backing an unloader is quite easy, and definitely adds life to the pump.. if the INternal unloader isn't used, it doesn't wear out nearly as fast, and you get the pump a LOT closer to its potential lifespan. Otherwise.. NEVER buy a pump with the unloader built-in.
