Ive been working on some water trucks lately. I got all the hard water off now all thats left is a white film. the water trucks are red and it almost looks like oxidation. i think if i waxed them it would take care of the problem but that is out of the question. does anyone know anything i can put on them now that i have everything else off?
 
Im not a big fleet guy. usually just do heavy equipment and clean the mudd off the water trucks. this time they wanted them looking real good. i used a concrete remover and brush to get off the hard water scale... what kind of acid would work good? could i just spray it on or would i need to brush again?
 
any 2 step acid should work. Alum bright is what I usually use. I would spray it on then hit it with the concrete remover. you might still have to brush them.

You need to call my buddy Joe Shumaker at 602*332*9643. He is a great guy, and has the stuff when it comes to cleaning Water and Cement trucks. His warehouse is over by the Cardinals Stadium.
Tell him I sent you, and that he really needs to give me a better price.

I know Joe, hes the one I get my stuff from too, good guy. he was confused about the film too? said it shouldnt be there. I only have a problem with these particular trucks. white trucks, yellow, every thing else comes out fine, just these crap red ones. do you think the aluma brite would work? safe on the painted surface of the trucks?
 
If you have experience with aluma brite, try it. Make sure that you follow the directions for the dilution. One of the biggest problems, besides the obvious dangers is that people use it WAY too strong. Are these trucks located around 40th and Broadway?
 
I dont have any experience with aluma brite... oh well i guess i could give it a try. no they are out on the 303 where they are connecting to the 17
 
I was trying to place the compan, out of curiosity. Just be really careful with the aluma brite, and if you run into problems, you can give me a call. Or call Joe, then he will call me.
