What do you think about this as a spare unit?

It's a Karcher hds 3555 BE model with a 20 horse honda and a GP TS2021 pump direct drive. I am told it is not getting fuel to the burner but evidently the igniters work. I was looking at it more for a spare unit or maybe put on a part time guy on it to wash trucks. No info on hours. Just wanted to get some thoughts.

Of course cut the brackets for the wheels off and set it on the floor. Just not sure about the machine and pump setting up that high and getting enough water. The guy who has it said it needed a $70 solenoid to make it deliver fuel to the burner.

Looks like an open suction line on the left of the pump side sticking up. Detergent valve maybe? The wiring on those machines is very different too. If the solenoid lets it fire, great! Check it over closely and make sure everything works before you buy, or be prepared to spend the money to fix it yourself. There are a lot of proprietary parts on those...stuff you can't get "just anywhere". I can get parts if you need them, but hopefully it'll run good for you.

I would stay away an the reason my first hot water was a karcher omg just like Russ said the wiring is so different my heat never worked properly ended up trading it back the the dealer for a hydrotek.

Actually after looking at the front and rear pic it looks like it is belt driven. Also there is a pulley setting on the back of the skid. I like the belt drives over direct drive.

I have to wait for the guy to get back from Utah to look at it. If it runs good I will probably pick it up. Then maybe order another TSF2021 pump so I can run 8gpm with this one too. Even if its just cold water setup.

Any pics of the burner/coil setup? Those karcher machines have a very efficient burner/coil. Get it running correctly and I'm sure you will be very impressed. For $500 I would buy it in a second.

I had a European Magneto fired burner once. It was a Mi-T-M. The thing was a freaking nightmare. When it worked, it was REALLY good. Problem was, keeping it working. Eventually we changed it over to a standard ignitor. Not something that was extremely hard. It was more reliable, then, but I like something better than "More reliable". As a back up, though, it might be great.
Advantage, I ended up selling the machine for more than I paid for it. That was a good thing.
