i am in search for a stainless hose reel to fill our water tank.. i currently use hannay , in the past i used summit... i am curious to see what others are using and why you picked that brand... thanks
Hose tract makes a good reel, they are very solid with a good gage of steel for strength. They have some nice stackable ones to save space(which i use with stainless steel plumbing). I also had some steel eagle in the past that were OK but the cores had a tendency to collapse...still they lasted probably 10 years so they wore a worthwhile investment.
The only Stainless reels I have ever used are Titans, I have 2 and they have had the harshest chems around ran thru them, they are still fine and in like new shape at over 2 years old
Nothing but Cox reels for me. The 1123 series are some of the best A frame construction I have seen. The gauge is thicker than most and are welded instead of bolted together.
2 of the 4 reels I bought over 18 years ago are still working great. The two that broke was when I clipped them around the corner. Stopped my truck to a dead stop from a 5 mph motion. A 3500 extended dodge diesel 4x4 with a 12,000 lbs trailer filled with water. Reels did not break just bent. Choose not to fix them and just replaced them instead.
Now we have 1/2hp 12v 200ft of 1/2 inch hose reels. They are great !!!!
Hannay 1500 series . They were used for 11 years before I got them. All I ever did was replace the swivels when I bought them and they have been flawless for the last 3 years. Very tough well made units.
All Titan here! Tough as nails and they never rust. I've only replaced the swivels on them 3 times in the past five years and I do alot of ds'ing though them. Wacked them a couple of times backing into my shop and they have never even moved.
