Which Spark Plug Should I Be Using?

I am still having spark plug issues and I may be using the wrong plug. Currently I am using Champion RC12YC. This is on a Vanguard 18 hp, model: 356447, type: 0142-E1

Should I be using the Champion QC12YC or RC14YC or other? The owners manual states the gap needs to be at .76 mm or 0.030. Hopefully, I am just using the wrong plug and can get this engine running smoothly again. Thanks!

RC12YC is the stock Vanguard plug.

I like nippendenso or NGK in the small engines, U-groove or v-power.

I use the high performance plugs napa sells. The motor runs better because I tested once two identical motors and so we eliminated the chance one was just better motor than other. We switch the plugs and the performance changed from one to the other. The plugs are a few dollars more.
