Looking for a smaller surface cleaner,
currently useing HydroTeks 28" ANT C3.

I have been thinking about a Whiraway or Hammerhead floater
(because of the cheap price)

Anybody use the Whiraway classic or Hammer head?

Do you like it?

What problems have you had, if any?

Is there a better choice? around the same price

I use both the Whirl Away 20in and the Hammer Head 18in and love both. I've only had to do regular normal maint on both and both are nice and light and clean great.

Hammerhead all the way! for the money its a winner. still got mine and use it from time to time

SO what did you choose?

I've been using the Whirl-a-way "classic" for about 10 months now, and i gotta say it's a pretty awesome little S/C for what it is. I must have the right nozzles in it, because i think it cleans great with NEVER any striping.

Last time i checked, it starts getting a little floppy at around 225* or so.

The classic is a great surface cleaner and handles 200 degree heat without any problems at all.

With the new swivel designs, you can change out the cartridge in less than 10 minutes and be up and running again for under $145.00 without pressing seals and bearings on/off for a rebuild.

Who Uses Whirl away ?

I have a Whirl A Way floater I bought used about 4 years ago. It cleans super fast, and have not had to replace any parts on it aside from a few o rings and replacing the bar a couple of times due to hitting it against the curb or something. I can't imagine paying twice as much for a whisper wash classic.
