Years ago I read about hunting feral pigs in florida with dogs. The dogs take off after a pig and you follow the barking. The dogs, two I think, corner the pig. When you get there one gets in their face and the other one bites the pig on the ear and holds on, controlling the head. Then you spear it or if you feel badass you *jump on it with a knife*!
Are those hogs the same thing as a feral pig? I heard the population was millions in Florida, Texas and California. They say they are here in Az and I have always wanted to see one roaming around but I'm not sure it's true. We have javalina and 50 lbs is a good one.
For some reason I never liked to shoot predators, and a coyote - man I would feel like I was shootin a dog. I guess if they were bothering me ...
You know that isn't Hogzilla.Hogzilla was killed in Alapaha Ga. about 30 miles east of me.I now the man who owns the land this hog was killed on.This was a hybrid wild hog/feral hog cross breed.Superpig was a pen hog released and allowed to become feral before hunting. The vast majority of wild hogs are feral.
We have some hogs on our farm that are in the 200 to 300 pound range.I haven't hunted any because the are sticking to field edges and hardwood bottoms.
