How do you guys tie off on a roof while you're up there? I have a harness, just wondering how you do it. Thank you......JEFF

Sorry I can"t help you I either work off a lift, ladder or from the ground. Be very carefull walking on the roof.

We only tie off when it is a very steep pitch. We hook the lines on the other side of the roof.

i dont tie off i just shoot from the ridge on the roof. With the right equiptment you should be able to hit all of the roof from a ridge or later

BTW. Shingle roofs are easy. S tile roofs have and must be shot from 3 directions. Above-left - right.

Just curious, but if they're shot from above how are you covering the over-lapping lower edges?

"above" here is meant on the roof.
Ah thats easy. The method that I didn't say, We use a wand with a 90 on it.
Gets the edges great, mainly the first and second row of tile.
I was just commenting on the fact that with a shingle roof you can just spray from the ladder, whereas a tile roof you need more of an angled shot.
Not that it can't be done. If you have a lot of time to move ladders

I've been using the same wand for years now David. Stainleess Steel with a little more than a 45deg bend in the wand. Since I've been using this wand I never have problems with the butts either. I've got a shongle roof to do today that aparently is very steep. (Haven't seen it) If its too steep I'll be shooting it from the ground with a #30 or #40 tip. I'll post before and afters when I'm done.
