Financial Crisis!!!

I think we are in the wrong biz man we all should be congressmen so we can lie cheat aand steel from elderly, young, and midle class people. Hell problem with congress they could not fix anything what would happen if we ran our biz way they run our country.

Man I am a liberal Democrat by most standards here but that Pelosi should just be shot, she is a horrible speaker. never liked her and the stupid rant she did was just bad leadership and unnecessary. Can we impeach that B**ch


DJ, what you don't understand is GDP or any gov #'s are tainted, they are skewed by our very own leaders, they mean crap. Look at some of these companies going down triple AAA+ ratings mean nothing anymore, you can't trust standard & poor anything. The #'s are a joke and nothing to be trusted. Do I really think we are going to go into a DEPRESSION, NO!! but could it happen, there is that chance more now than any other time in 70 years

When I say you can't trust the numbers, you cant trust the ratings, you cant trust the gov, its not a conspiracy theory, its the truth, a fact NUMBERS is what has got us into this mess, they played the #'s to make everything look good and then the real numbers have now caught up with everything and has helped create this crisis & panic...........JAIL THEM ALL..........but they'll say you cant jail them for bad business practices

Nothing much must of us can do but sit, watch and wait to see how it all unfolds for the next couple months and the next couple years

I hope this is just a bad time that can be turned around within the next 6 months give or take

You know I have fought on these BB's some time now over execs/CEO's making what they do and many said its the American way. Unless you started the company, no man is worth 100,000,000 million a year it was a scam and made smart men stupid & greedy, greed breeds more greed when its unchecked.. Public Hangings would make future CEO' think. Darn we cant do that can we. We need Batman:cool:

I tend to say its all panic and politics. Sure there are a few problems and things may get worse before they get better, but I think things really arent that bad for a lot of the people that are freaking out right now. Best advice I can give is dont panic and things will be fine. There is a lot of people playing the blame game in politics right now and there will not be a straight answer from either party they will use this in election year politics and scare people into thinking it is worse than it is then once it starts to turn around and the numbers that they want to base stuff on look better there wil be more politicing and both parties will claim they fixed the problem. People will feel how they want to about the economy and post links to stories and supposed stats and facts and I am not trying to change any minds,but for me the economy looks great I have a plan and I am ready for when competition cant hang. Things are great and I choose to stay positive.

There's a lot going on and many should be concerned at least BUT I do hope you're right Trey. I am hoping the economy turns for the better after the elections

Excellent point. Rush limbaugh urges people to turn off the TV and radio for a week, and see how happy they are the entire time.

My mom calls me the other night durng Bush's speach and tells me how freaked out she is about the economy and how worried she is about her job. Then calls me the next day and takes me out to lunch and spends 50 bucks.

Shes not really scared, but Bush got her all worked up. The problem is that the freedom of press was put in place to be a watchdog over the government, instead it is becoming a co-conspirator. Government-media complex. Beware.

I just don't understand why people always says its the media. Theres right wing/leftwing media, do they blow it up some? Yes. But it is news and if they didnt report it then what, we'd be bashing them for hiding something

The media isnt to blame its greedy CEO', Stupid people and our government. People have a right to worry, theres a lot of retired people watching there money go down & down, jobs lost and more Its a PITA but its happening with or with out the media
 
Regardless if the media is playing this up or not..the reality of it is that the market has reacted....that is not media hype. Overseas markets have reacted....that is also not media hype.

Right or wrong the reality is that the market does have pro or con influences in our lives....believe it or not.

I am more in the mindset of Trey...yea..I mentioned the market today to one of my colleagues back east after getting home but all in all I am not ready to take money out of the bank.....just yet!!

We will see how the week plays out.....I understand washington is on recess or vacation or something....whatever!! I will get up tomorrow at 5:00 am like I have been for the last 8 years and go after work and perform on my current contracts.
 
I think the media is some what to blame because with out them putting the sense of awful taxation fear that if this bail out passes then every one in the working class will be the ones that pay for it. That made dumb asses call capital hill and tell them that if its passed then they won't be re elected HaHaHa Sooooooo many people just regurgitate what they hear with out any thought process!!! Ugh people aggravate the hell out of me
 
Here's my take on it. I dont believe that if we dont pass something in the next couple of days that our world will crash down upon us. This bill was filled with junk, and earmarks, and it was being crammed down our throats for a reason. Our lawmakers need to take their time, and write a bill that actually makes sense for us.

A funny way that someone put it yesterday is that congress has spent more time on hearings about whether Roger Clemens used steroids and which butt cheek he stuck the needle, than they have on saving our economy.

Things are bad, but we dont need something rushed through that may not even go far enough. Or maybe it goes too far. I dont know.
