Use for a 2.7gpm pw, Is this a crazy idea?

From what I understand a sludge pump or a sandblast unit will pull a lot of water.

A few days ago I asked what I could do with a 2.7 gpm sprayer direct drive unit i don't use anymore.

Why couldn't I make a good caustic mix, and pull it through using a sludge pump or a sandblast unit?

If that isn't feasable, why couldn't I use it to pull huge amounts of water through using the sludge pump IN the water tank JUST for higher volume rinsing.

There must be something I'm forgetting here. Somehow I don't think it would work.

The sludge pump works on the vacuum effect. It moves a lot of water but with no pressure. I have one from espec that I use for breezeways or drives that flood with water. I puts out lots of volume but you can stop the flow by standing on the hose. Can't imagine it working for what you want it to. Good thought process though. Don't know about the sandblast kit. Used one for a small job years ago and have since lost it. Mine was from northern tool and was basically packaged crap from China.

Not too many things you can do with a low volume machine like that.

Supposedly you can X-Jet or Downstream and get a higher ratio of chems than if you used a larger gpm machine.

You usually have to have a garden hose connected to that type of pump so it will work, most of those you can't connect to a buffer tank.

There might be something that you can use that machine for, I just do not know right now.

Tony, that little machine would not take up too much room on your truck, you could use that machine only for downstreaming your soaps but it would be another hose to take up on the roofs, it would be easier to have a GOOD REMOTE CONTROL SYSTEM so you can just hit a button and stop the soap and just use one machine.

If you got so busy that you needed another machine, you could rig up the little one for other things for a helper to do, all you need is another hose reel and a few hundred feet of hose but a supply hose reel to that machine from the water supply on the building.

There will be one that will be Demo'd at the Vegas Round Table.

I do not know much about it other than it is very affordable compared to other brands in the past years and with the base model it can control up to 4 things, you can always buy another system for the low, low price that they are asking for it.

The price.....I do not remember but I believe that it was not even $100.00 but don't quote me on that, even if it was that price or a little bit more, you could always buy another to control many, many things.

You will have to wait for more info or visit the Vegas Round Table to see it in use live.

From what I have heard about it, it sounds like a very good system. I plan on buying 2 of them.

Chris, take pics of those things for me. The remotes you can make for under $30 bucks. I am interested in what type of valves they are using that will hold up to bleach when downstreaming. I gave up on the concept because of that.

Chris, I have never seen a remote control like that. Do you know where I could get some information and pricing. Thanks

US Carburation is sponsoring our RT and giving away a remote start made by Bulldog, branded by USCarb and setup for Key start pressure washers and generators.

I have it here on my desk, all put together and ready to install, but I haven't put it in yet. It will start and stop the engine, push and pull the choke and then has only ONE MOMENTARY button left which I will probably use to REVERSE the electric hose reel so when we get to the roof and a guy is walking across the roof with the hose the resistance is less.

I plan to buy another remote ($79.00) and use it just for turning on and off the HEAT and turning on and off the SOAP.

Tony, that is what I am interested in, the soap. I can turn it on/off using a fuel valve and a cheap remote, but the bleach eats up the valve.

I will take a lot of pictures William.

That is one of a few reasons I am interested too but also need to know about the valve or solenoid.....will it hold up to the bleach?

There are ways around that, a little more complicated but workable. I just need to see the actuator that works with the choke then I can figure out how to make it work for a valve for bleach/soap.

Attach it to your existing machine and add more flow. Never anything wrong with that.
