Actually black streaks occur on most any gutter/roof type. I have had them on job yesterday with a metal roof. Still just as tough.

I often wondered how much of the black gutter stains is from the asphalt and how much of it is from unburnt/burnt fuel in the atmosphere.

Potasium hydroxide works great for those Bob at pressure tek sells it its called f-13 or like John said simple green straight

Those Black streaks on gutters and facia is actually electrostatic bonding. Oxidation occurs over the stains making it difficult and in some cases even impossible to remove without damaging the paint or powder coating. Here is a little trick. Try using Werners Bleach White for Tires (White Wall Tire Cleaner) that you can get at any auto parts store, Kmart Wally World etc...Spray on, Wipe off.

Here you go,,,,,either of these work great. I have not used the simple green but have heard several people praising it. The F 13 works great, I have used it. Have in on my truck now. Apply with brush let sit 5 minutes or so....do not let dry. Reapply and use some elbow grease. Rinse and you will be amazed!

I would think the F13 is faster at cleaning compared to the simply green "all purpose". Does any one have the MSDS for the F13

Larry is that what you use on the second story guttering? I'm confused (again or still) with the spray on wipe off without ladders.....???

I really don't do or even get that many requests for Gutter Cleaning down here Greg. Well at least for the outside of them. I just heard that it works real well. Never tried it myself. Gonna pick up a bottle though and give it a shot.

Not as much as we could be or would be with the proper pictures, documentation and letting us know what chemicals, methods or process he uses along with how he expected to do the job. hahahahahahaha

Ok thanks. I use F-13 lightly brush twice and rinse and honestly have tried everything else mentioned here but just stay with that. Besides the customers like reading the bottle LOL.....
I did use the simple green and that worked ok as long as you could scrub it. The problem I ran into was in the areas that couldnt be reached. Its all good though customer was happy. Thanks agian for the help from all
Long handled extension painters pole. I have a 6-12 foot and it gets up there pretty well. So far out of all the brushed tried I like the salt and pepper 10 inch Bob sells.
